About

30 years of experience helping people create their best life.

I specialize in helping children, teens and families overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, school problems, ADHD and parent-child conflict. I also have extensive experience working with adults and young adults who are experiencing social anxiety, generalized anxiety, depression and difficult life transitions. I recognize that life is busy so I work closely with my clients to prioritize goals, develop effective treatment plans and focus on strengths and successes. My outcome-based treatment approaches vary depending on your unique set of challenges, but generally involve a blend of cognitive-behavioral, family systems, solution-focused, narrative and positive psychology. I believe that therapy should never feel uncomfortable or boring so I use authenticity, empathy, humor and a focus on strengths to engage families and make sessions a positive experience. While I see children and teens individually, I strongly believe parent involvement not only expedites results but ultimately leads to lasting improvements. A Bay Area native, I earned my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley and completed my doctorate at the California School of Professional Psychology. As a mom and a LaMorinda resident, I am aware of the numerous positive opportunities and the nuanced challenges encountered by families in our community. All children and families are unique and deserve to receive the right treatment with the most qualified provider so I offer free consultations to see if our work together would be a good fit for the issues you are currently facing. I have in-person appointments at my office in Orinda or virtual appointments if you prefer. Please contact me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation. I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
